Air Start Units

Air Start Units (ASUs) are used for starting aircraft engines equipped with pneumatic starter. It supplies necessary quantity of air at specified pressure through one/two or three hoses attached to the aircraft's under belly. The ASUs are adjustable to 45 PSIG at 0-400 lbs/min. air flow to start all types of jet aircraft engines. The units are available in a variety of sizes and configurations to meet individual customer requirements – based on aircraft to be serviced and frequency of utilization.

These self-recharging stored-air units are supplied complete with a properly rated piston-type compressor, ASME cylinder, customer selected power source and mounting (truck/trailer/stationery pedestal). They include feature-rich fleet management software which transmits live operational data to a remote computer/mobile and alerts users in real-time of faults and alerts. With this software, users can plan maintenance schedules, ad-hoc service records, order spare parts and more. A major component is the regulator control valve, which controls air pressures delivered to the engine in accordance with the engine manufacturer’s specifications.
